When we got to Luag Prabang, we decided to walk from the bus station instead of taking a tuk tuk again. We didn't make it very far before I managed to twist my ankle and take a granny tumble to the ground. It hurt a little, but nothing bad enough to keep us from saving the $2 tuk tuk ride! We marched on.
We found a really cheap guest house, that offered free bananas and free coffee, so we decided to stay there. Noting cures a twisted ankle like a bunch of free stuff.
The next day, my ankle was twice the size and a bit painful. We still hadn't figure out where to go next, so we decided to stay another night to give my ankle a rest and to figure a few things out.
Even though the free things made me feel better on the inside, they couldn't stop me from hobbling around like a injured one legged chicken, Unfortunately, so walking far distances was out of the question. Instead, we rented some bikes and whet around the countryside for most of the day. When we got back to our guesthouse, we were sitting in our room when suddenly the door bust open. In walked the old man who owned the place, in his hand, a giant grapefruit for us. We thanked him and he went back out only to come back in 2 seconds later with a bowl of salt (Asian people tend to eat fruit with salt for some reason)
